To keep the panels is durable during the announced pouring number, the following is the recommendation from professional:
1/ Suitable Storage Condition
After unloading the shipment, store the panels under a dry, clean and well-ventilated and roofed area. Keep the panels away from extreme temperature and moisture. Open the metal straps, keep the limit 3 strap/crate.
Separate crates from each other with a clean, dry and strong spacers of uniform thickness, suitable for loading and unloading by forklifts.
Don’t put above 5 crates in a column.
2/ Appropriate tools
Panels should be cut, shaped and drilled by using standard wood working tools.
Cutting recommendation:
- Blade diameter: ~350mm
- Thickness: ~3.5mm
- Number of teeth: >100 teeth
- Rotational speed: 3,000 – 3,600 rpm
3/ Put the panels into a metal frame is recommended.
A panel is keeping un-change from a metal frame will help to protect them from almost of damages when handling at site (moving, installing, removing,…) and the structure of plywood is well supported.
4/ Sealing the Edges and Holes
After cutting, transportation, using,… which result in raw edges, holes, and damages area. These area should be sealed by specialized water-proof paint.
5/ Keep panels away from Falls and Drops
During the handling time at site such as carrying, installing, removing…, the worker must do not drop or let them fall from high levels or directly hit other materials or the ground.
6/ Release oils coated is needed
Although the Phenolic Surface Film is contained a certain amount of release agent, it is necessary to be coated with an appropriate oil to ensure a cleaner and easier striking, as well as reusage.
7/ Cleaning after Use
Formwork plywood should be cleaned with water after use to remove concrete remain and other sticking material on the Film Surface. A suitable handling is required to keep the panels’s surface from damages.
8/ Recycling
At the end of lifespan, the panels could be chipped and used in bioenergy plant.
All TADEX plywood packing material is recyclable.
